First of all:
We were looking for a Blu-ray player that has the following properties:
Hard drive
additional USB port (because the hard drive of my friend very quickly was very crowded)
Smart function naturally with WLAN
Of course at a good price.
Now to my experiences
Feel / look:
==============
The LG Blu-ray player has the dimensions 19.7 x 43 x 4.1 cm and is kept completely in black. Only the logo 3D Blu-ray stands out from silver. Well, a beauty contest does not win this player, but nice view of the keys directly to the Blu-ray player already made. The 4 main buttons (Play, Eject, Stop, and power switch) are mounted somewhat raised above right.
It is easy to operate. The ejector works well and is quick on and.
However, he feels like cheap plastic. But when you already have a Blu-Ray player in your hand, smile.
Other Handling:

First Steps:
===============
Installation is very simple. An HDMI cable should be ordered in order to enjoy the really good picture and sound quality to its full potential. The DVDs and Blu-Rays can already be able to play.
Somewhat more complicated to install the wireless LAN function is. But even this is done in a few steps (well explained). Our fritzbox was detected, enter the password and you can get started. Unfortunately, the LG Blu-ray players adjusted when switching frequently and then you have the Fritz box repeatedly off and rehire. That is already annoying.
Featchers:

A real plus is the so-called. 1080p upscaler. The image quality of normal DVDs, I can only describe as amazing: WOW !!! The quality is the Blu-Ray's very close!
The LG Blu-ray player supports the most popular formats. Blu Rays play perfectly. Access times in chapter jumps or reading of the medium are okay. An operating noise was not noticeable even with very quiet scenes for me.
As simple as the DVD is playing, watching videos or images from a laptop or from USB stick. (WI FI-DIRECT is called the LG)
LG Smart TV has many preinstalled apps. Unfortunately, most are not free. Youtube and a cinema preview program are, however, free to see.
We have a couple of times used maxdome because the TV program in the last few weeks was anything but really good. This is very simple, if you have a max cathedral account. With max cathedrals you can usually choose between a loan period and 48 hours a Download or buy the video. Mostly we had an adequate internet speed, so there was no difficulty seeing the videos. Once the film but constantly jerky, which makes the video look more of a test of patience for a beautiful affair. But that is rather in a review to max cathedrals.
The large and simple remote control is already an LG - feature.
My smartphone as a remote control and the 3D feature I have not (yet) been tested. All I can say nothing. Firstly, I will not want to repurpose my smartphone for remote control. The remote control is completely okay.
And 3D movies I have not bought, but I'll catch up in the near future (and then report here).
Conclusion
=====
LG has super caught up to me in recent years, particularly in the TV sector and plays high now with even in the top league. That makes LG for me at a price-performance winner. For LG - TV this Blu-RayPlayer is particularly recommended because the components work together class. The operation of the LG player, for example, WITHOUT presets with the TV - remote control possible.
Highlights is the very simple operation, the upscaling and the ability to play all pictures, videos and songs of the respective devices via the home theater system for me.
One point I would still pull for the feel.
