The previous model was in my opinion a little missed (noisy), this one is a pleasure to use:
- Compact and beautiful on the desktop.
- Very quiet, it has not the fault of the discs that are constantly put to sleep by producing a click or a buzz.
- Do not heat almost.
- Any small transformer and cables supplied.
- Good rates. If for a more intensive use I prefer Firewire, transfers are correct for a storage disk. Obviously if we want to fill at once this very large disk of 400 GB at once, it will take some time ... Otherwise, no problem playing videos or large files. I have not been interrupted transfer bug as it is mentioned in other reviews (at least with OS X).
- Any small LED on the back to indicate the reading or writing. I do not like the material surrounded by neon lights, and I thank Western Digital tuning not to yield to delusions that tends to turn a Christmas tree device ^ _ ^
Note that there is no stop button, but given the great value price of this equipment, it remains a detail. Reliability will be judged in the long term, but so far no worries with Western Digital. A good point, connectors have solid air. And as usual, excellent Amazon service, the product was delivered very quickly.
