Superlens

This 17 mm (1.8) lens is worlds better than the Panasonic 20mm / 1.7 often described as an alternative for me. Maybe not for pixels gazers (the Panasonic is a premier optical lens, no doubt!). But what I buy a fast Olympus Micro-43 camera (my camera is an E-PM2), then when I have to wait an eternity until the Pana 20 (which I had previously owned) focuses? The discussed here 17er is rapidly sharp. At least DSLR level.

Have the significantly higher price never looked back. Use almost any other lens more.

Addendum:
Olympus delivers yes with no sun visor. You need but.
The Lens Hood LH-46GF (of JJC; also on Amazon) fits very well. And is much cheaper than the original Olympus.
This is particularly important for switching from the Panasonic 20mm good news, then the lens hood can at least continue to be used.
(That's maybe a little argument to make the life partners, the new acquisition easier to digest ...)

Another addendum:
With the above-mentioned lens hood of the original Olympus lid no longer works. Because you no longer rankommt the lateral snap-action mechanism. But to this cover, it is also not too bad.
