Actually, I had thought that I need a KH-amplifier for August, but this is not so. On the contrary, if I am both iPad and August (the amplifier has a built-in), the volume is fully turn up even me too much.
Likewise ws As for the bass. The Beyerdynamic are said to have Basslastigkeit in many reviews, I can not confirm my receiver ends. That's why I thought at first, that would be somewhat exaggerated in August, but has quite prominent bass innately. For (the heights) all sounds above approximately 800 Hz rather dull.
The equalizer in iOS has arrived with its presets not got good help. If you select 'More heights' this sound a little clearer, but the bass is still present. In 'Less bass', the heights are already apparent, but the bass is but a little too subdued for my taste.
Quite different (if not to say almost perfect) then it works with the iOS App 'EQ 10'. And rumzufummeln without long, but simply with the preset 'Top End Boost'. Raises exactly the areas that are lacking August, or the sound suboptimal. Of course you can still operate a bit of tweaking (the app also has a 5-band graphic EQ) and save it as a separate preset. And the title of the control Soon (pre - break - back) also works with this app (The Klipsch only works with iOS players).
The pairing was super easy (activate Bluetooth, turn on August finished). After know now iPad and August, it is sufficient to turn on the August and there you go. I am very happy with the sound, and at least for the plays that I myself have mixed I know how that should sound. Well, that may not come to the sound experience of Beyerdynamic in a good amp ran, but compared with other, partly expensive headphones that can not be beat for the price. And all this without cable fuss.
