Talented Stephenie Meyer!

Customer Review

There. I just turn the last page of this pad 600 pages. And a first observation: Stephenie Meyer has an incredible gift. The great gift of telling stories and embark completely with it, transporting us into his world.

It took me almost a week to read the novel, but I ended up with the same effect Twilight: the urge to immerse myself in the novel when I had the chance, to find the characters and discover eagerly what would happen.

First of all, needless to say that this novel is not comparable with the saga of which I have just mentioned. Aside from the intense addiction that may grab you if you decide to open this book.

Melanie Stryder was captured by the invading aliens (I know, it's been a series B to say this, but I assure you, it's so much more than that!) But his conscience did not deliver his last battle . Already residing there for me a first originality of the novel: the author manages to live fully two characters into one, and all in a fluidity that is breathtaking. The wandering soul that takes possession of the body of Mel, is disconcerting to more than one perspective. Stephenie Meyer had the talent to give us feelings very subtle, halftone. She managed not to fall into the easy considering the first elements of Manichaeism his story of human kind and evil invaders. No, she was able to look further, deeper, in the depths of the values and criteria of our world as we see it today.

I do reveals nothing now speaking of the love story since the back cover mentions it specifically. And there, again, this is a no-fault! It is vibrant, full, violent and passionate.

But then you wonder why, considering my rave review, why do not I put a small 4 of 5 for my final grade? Because there is only one thing that bothered me: the end. It's a bit like the last Harry Potter book, I would be passed me the epilogue. I would have imagined an ending that, without necessarily being dramatic, I would be more emerged as more logical. But again, it's Meyer. A fault be forgiven because it could become a manufacturing brand. Meyer is a whole, to be taken as such.

Oh, one last thing: please do not be deterred by the first pages that may seem a little longuettes. He needs time to settle a particular relationship. But when the story begins to take off, it really takes off and it is the player that remains stuck to the book. There rhythm, twists and turns, ups and downs. Characters that are gaining in depth, that prove that change ... That's a novel: an unlikely story but we completely seduced. And we are not always able to explain why.

Anyway, you'll understand that I'm in love. Once again. It is a pure joy to walk to that.
