Reason for buying decision:
The small pack size. The Tarpstangen which I have otherwise seen Hatt, stowed all a higher length and were therefore unsuited to stow in my pockets. These are really good to pack. The individual segments are plugged into each other, so that everything shrinks to the size of the thickest section. Plastic caps for secure sealing of both ends are included.
Construction and dismantling:
As the rods are written telescoped. When set up a cap closes the upper end, both caps are packed then used. At the bottom of the built-up tarp pole is a metal pin, which can be drilled into the ground in order to provide better grip.
Stability:
Is the tarp stretched clean, it is perfectly supported by the rods. The coupling mechanism is highly resistant and the metal is stable. Even in strong wind the rod is perfect!
Conclusion:
The tarp pole of Tatonka is really good. Only the price apparently too high for me, considering the production cost. Nevertheless, given the quality and the small size during transport I give 4 stars.
