The prelude of the album (Welcome to New York) provides equal pay homage to their new hometown of New York; very nice she starts here the feelings and hopes of people of their (and previous) generations, which they embraced at the thought of this city.
Even after that it understands Taylor Swift awesome to have the new urban beat incorporated into their sound. Blank Space, Style and out often the Woods are absolutely great pop songs that simply flow to the brain, ear and legs. In particular style, presented by Taylor Swift on the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2014 is one of the best songs on the album and a catchy par excellence for me. The clock change of song between chorus and verse is extremely successful and has already caught up with me at first listen.
All you had to do what stay falls because unfortunately a bit off; the song is well positioned unhappy, in addition to the album highlights it can only lose. The song ripples so to himself, except for the totally high-pitched Stay !! nothing sticks. Because right after that follows the first single Shake it off!
That definitely danceable song of the album is - of course in combination with the video - a glaring breach of the previous Swift's traditions. And that's why so incredibly strong. Simple Message (the songs of Taylor Swift never really cryptic are), groovy beat and a perfect sound experience to make the song absolutely justified to hit.
The conclusion of the ear Fireworks forms I Wish You Would, a good song, which acts unfortunately overclocked and rushed a little; but that will not make him move so the song indeed. After Shake it off a song would the album very well done for coming down. Thus I Wish You Would tells a little the fate of all you had to do what stay and can not be fully effective.
Unfortunately, the album falls then for my liking from absolute; the following songs rippling just so gone, and no song can leave a lasting impression. An exception has since I know places, song 12, which I'm not sure here, whether it is not just therefore works better because it's really weak because absolutely austauschbarer- song is placed in a group. Too bad that Taylor Swift is no longer capable here, to distinguish themselves from other pop star, what actually is so great strength. Here have I Wish You Would, and all you had to do what stay still had a good chance of being able to show more of their potential.
At the end of the special edition three sound clips are again appended where Taylor Swift is based on songs of this album ways songs can arise. For me, these clips were very interesting because here down broken on an instrument and Taylor Swift's voice, again, it is clear what a talented artist, the young American is yet and what a great live voice she has.
We are already talking about the big weak point of this album. As a pure pop album designed, the great abilities Taylor Swift go unfortunately in the almost inevitable vocal - effects under which voice is pitched, doubled, backed etc. as chorale too rarely hear not synthesized instruments Here, the wife of Reading so good to play the piano or guitar.
For me the album in 1989 is therefore also slightly weaker than the previous album, Red, which hardly has musical hanger and on average the better songs. However, considering the hit potential of each song, is clearly in the lead in 1989; just shake it off, Blank Space, Style and Out of the Woods are perfectly produced pop music pieces whose fascination is so far one course of pop music inclined actual can not escape. Such many individual highlights, Red Hat does not offer.
Overall, in 1989 a really great album and for me now already one of the albums 2015; Friends of good pop music that goes beyond the usual dancefloor Gedudel are the place to go!
