Built Verbatim hard drive is a "Western Digital Caviar Green WD10EACS" runs very quietly with their 7200 revolutions and is equipped with 16MB cache.
The reformatting from FAT32 to NTFS went very easy, just like any other hard drive using the Disk Management with a few clicks of your hand!
When writing it creates to the 22MB / sec, while reading about 36MB / sec (tested with a 1GB file via the Total Commander and the HDD Speed Test Tool with active cache)
For read and write accesses, the green front LED flickers slightly.
The case is well made and has no sharp edges where you could get stuck.
For the price a really great Fetplatte! I can only recommend.
