After the last album released recently (Asterix in Pictish) and my disappointment when reading it, I have reread this first episode to compare account and make me so it was not simply the fact of getting old that made me lose all objectivity . Well no! That there is t 'common between the work of Gosciny and Uderzo and betrayal! At least rereading of Asterix the Gaul, I have found my old hero, certainly drawn in a way a little fuzzy, but funny and endearing. And what a pleasure to find these Latin phrases! Asterix is the agreement of two accomplices and the text is as important as the design. The jokes keep coming without respite and each album of the time the duo had a solid script intelligently developed. I will go and reread all the first albums to immerse myself in that time long gone real Asterix !!!
