* Delivery:
- Xperia Play
- Headphones
- 2 USB cable
- Automotive connectors
- Plug
- 8GB Spicher map
- Bag
- "Unnecessary paperwork"
Such a huge delivery I have not seen in any comparable phone. The bag is not very durable and also a bit of small-sized, but it is better that two data cables, plus a car plug enclosed.
* Design and processing:
The design I personally find very appealing despite the somewhat "blocky" looking housing. I am also of the opinion that the keys from both the gamepad and by the standard Android buttons are well placed.
However, the processing I am a bit disappointed because of my device after some time grinding marks were visible on the gamepad.
* Display, Camera and Battery:
Although the display can not keep up with the Super AMOLED + Dislays of Samsung, but is better than conventional panels also definitely. Colors come naturally and thanks to the resolution of 800x480 pixels razor across sharp, so it's fun to look at the pictures of 5 megapixels camera, which even in poor lighting conditions good photos shoots (because you wonder sometimes what the manufacturer 8 MP or more so stuck in a mini-camera). Videos can now be finally taken up with the 2.3.4 update in HD.
The battery lasts for good use of 3-4 days, which I think is a peak. In addition, he is also charged very quickly.
* Easy to use and browser:
The operation runs thanks to the 1 GHz processor smoothly and without stuttering, therefore making the user interface Timescape of SE much fun. The browser operates quickly and the ins and outs zoom also works without hesitation. But the speed is impressive (and who needs a dual or even quad-core processor, if you can avoid pushing him? The difference you notice anyway hardly.).
* Reception and quality:
At this point, nothing to complain about there. The network connection is usually "good" to "very good", which has a positive effect on the sound quality of both the Xperia Play users, as well as the speaker at the other end.
* Sound:
I have degree are no better sound in a mobile phone, not even in an iPhone. Stereo sound in a smartphone is not always standard, but the difference is very clear here. The volume level can also be very high psyched (thanks to xLOUD of SE). Simply perfect sound "gamble" to!
* Gaming:
This is probably the biggest reason to add itself as a phone. In this area, a European company will really done almost everything right. Although the games on Android Market are often large garbage, but Games such as NOVA 2, Galaxy on Fire 2 or Aspalt 6 show what the graphics unit Adreno 205 so everything on it. No stuttering, stalling, ... here comes on a console feeling! The knobs in my opinion is almost nothing to complain about (the Touch Circles are good, but do not replace the right ones from the PSP). The own Playstation Market has not convinced me: only overtook PS1 classics which no longer have long-date, you can buy there at inflated prices.
* App recommendation:
- Asphalt 6 (already installed)
- Galaxy on Fire 2
- NOVA 2
- Fifa 12
- Roboto
* Sonsiges:
- What I also find very unfortunate that someone only 400MB of internal memory is available (many apps like Asphalt 6 (CA.26 MB) do not have App2SD).
* Conclusion:
The Xperia Play is in my opinion a very good smartphone, but which mainly controls the gamer audience. But to blame for the poor sales also have the small mistake of SE which are possibly corrected with a successor. So if you like to travel "gambles", which is very well advised with this mobile phone, because there is nothing comparable on the market. Others, however, who use their mobile phone for business purposes, may buy more of an iPhone, HTC Sensation or SGS2.
But I am among the gamer group and therefore find the Xperia Play in spite of small "mistake" very good.
