The PHILIPS All-In-One Multi-Styler convinces with smart design and a wide range of styling options. The design with digital display is very appealing. Nevertheless, I was at first not entirely convinced by a device that simultaneously curling iron and straightening iron in one. Of course, an application of 4 different styles is a little exaggerated, but it fits the basic idea of a rotating arm for smooth and curly hair. Since the device advertises individual styling options, I took a closer look at these and disaggregated to the individual styling and evaluated:
CURLY STYLING
5 of 5 star - 1A - Both the scope of the rod (wider than a normal curling iron) as well as the handling of the staff guarantee a great result curls. Some might smaller curls, I, however, find a nice natural wave. The heat-resistant finger grips at the top of the bar and the temperature control (150 to 200 degrees within 45 sec) support for quick and easy Curl screwing.
SMOOTH STYLING
3 of 5 asterisks - Unfortunately, I must make a few compromises. The idea that a round bar can conjure up by a rotating arm and straight hair, I find good in principle, also that the rotation arm is very easy to switch, supports a fast handling. The plates include interestingly perfectly by a flexible system for viewing. Also, there are no tweets and Ionic technology + Tourmaline ceramic there is no or less electrified hair. But for me a fixed level is necessary because I remove the bar often, it is essential that the bar is fixed and not constantly falling - here there is no such status - the hold button and the hairbrush similar distance-pins give the rod a rather wobbly face. The lack of automatic shut-off is fatal for me, because it can happen once, that I occasions the staff for short-term re-smoothed, = (
VOLUME APPROACH
3 of 5 star - interesting a stick to use times directly as voluminous approach magician. Had I not been in this form and in fact - can be positioned with the hair brush-like distance-pins directly on the head without something mitzubekommen of the rod heat. However, the handling convinced me not quite - since I use rather the curling iron directly at the base or the flat iron and pull the hair straight up, which a similar approach wave produces.
BAR STANDARDS COMPARED:
+ Stable Transport Cases (Caution - use only when cold!)
+ Hold button to close the rounded plates rotating arm to change
+ From curler to hair straighteners
+ 2 m cable
+ Temperature regulation between 150 and 200 within 45 sec
+ Tourmaline Ceramic and Ionic Technology (against the electrifying hair)
+ Price-performance ratio ok
- No automatic. Off Timer
- Shaky state, no real state aid
- Not thermo-resistant casing for storage during the smoothing
CONCLUSION
The PHILIPS Volume Multi-Styler is an innovative mix of curling tongs and hair straighteners, which convinces by its very easy handling and its attractive appearance. Who has anything like traveling or on the go here, will be completely satisfied with the Multi-Styler. Who, however, on safety puts high value, should reconsider its decision to buy again - because lack stability and shutdown can be problematic for a lot of users. Since these functions are fundamental for me, I have to pull off this rod 2 asterisks.
