I had deliberately opted for the small New 3DS, since one in the XL version has not the possibility to this, according to individualize appropriate blanking plates, which can be available for purchase later. Even my buttons (X, Y, A, B) have better liked in the smaller version, these are namely that borrows heavily from the SNES controller, which I see as a nice gimmick personally.
Who already has a normal 3DS, 3DS XL really does not need an extra transfer. The changes are very marginal and games that are exclusive to the New 3DS, there is as yet not many. Xenoblade Chronicles will be a New 3DS only game.
The most striking contrast to the old 3DS is the additional small knobs on the right above the keys (X, Y, A, B) takes over the function of the Circle Pad and thus in some games (Zelda Majora's Mask 3D, Smash Brothers for 3DS) thus operated camera than can also perform other functions. The knobs feel and can be operated like the Lenovo / IBM laptops as easy. But I find it to be extremely slow, what is especially noticed in games like Iron case since that targets hereby goes quite sluggish vonstatten. Can calibrate large one it does not, so who is shooter or the like used to home consoles with controller, it will have difficulty here.
The effect of the 3DS New 3DS has been improved over its predecessor. Through a tracking mode of 3DS can now the player's face "pursue" and thus adapt the 3DS effect according to its current attitude. In the test, this worked remarkably well, the bright as also the dark. This will have the pain, which I had always carried an ugly posture, reduced because you now can finally sit down as you like just ignoring it according to whether the image is displayed correctly. Benefits I do the 3D effect but still rarely.
In addition, Nintendo has the New 3DS two shoulder buttons donated more that ZR and ZL button. This can be used, among other things to scroll the home screen. In normal 3DS games but these are not used and also games which are currently rarely use this (Iron Case).
It comes with the device itself, the white accent pieces, a micro SD Card 4GB Class 4 and no power adapter! PSU you have to, as in the old 3DS XL, buy again separately when you have not just the power supply from the DSi or 3DS Ninetndo at home. Furthermore, various manuals and mandatory AR Cards are supplied with it.
Who has the older generation does not have an extra transfer. Still, there is not really the games offer, which the New 3DS exploits or even presupposes. Even the slightly faster processor is not really noticeable. In Smash Brothers for 3DS you already noted, although the new hardware, but the game itself was either way too much for the old 3DS.
