For over a year I have been studying manuals and try also CarCams in practice (such as the Rollei DVR110, BlackVue 550) and am now finally been able to find the new DR650GW 2CH.:
- Perfectly coordinated system with rear and front camera,
- Very good image quality,
- Solid construction,
- Reliable operation
All in all a CarCam can hardly be desired!
Admittedly, the price is already fierce, but absolutely at what is offered and the quality justified; Finally, you get two excellent concerted CarCams with many options that work without problems and whose operation is also achieved smart!
Really amazing: the manufacturer has the most criticisms of users to 550-er model (see also my review for 550.), Addressed and eliminated in the new 650-er!
For example,
- Sound now very well (the old model heavily overdriven)
- SD card can be removed, must be sealed up without the coaxial connector of the rear view camera (new: opening in the lid)
- The lens ring is no longer held in striking ALU / silver, but dark, so that one hardly notices this cam from the outside
- Now with different lengths of the connecting cable to the rear view camera (6 m, 10 m or 15 m), thus suitable for really every vehicle
- Picture quality of recordings now also very good
The fact that the image quality of Frontcam has improved in such a way that surprised me at first, because these yes Cam uses the same lens as the 550-er. The solution: the predecessor of the lens viewing angle was 146 degrees in the new 650-he is 129 degrees. This results in an improvement of the recording quality, which I thought hardly possible: everything is bigger, clearer and more distinct in the recordings. Have the old model the streetlights still bent closer you came to it, so there is now no longer this negative effect. Likewise, the indicator of oncoming vehicles are now also identify at 100km speed without problems in the still image.
Therefore: Thanks and kudos to the manufacturer, that has been received so quickly to these customer requests!
Now please just next firmware update the event recording (in case of accident) can save about read-only and shorten the time from the automatic power-on to start recording -Then bout absolutely totally perfect!
For me, the new 650-he, in spite of these criticisms, currently really the non plus ultra in the market.
Therefore, I forgive for this new model now in good conscience also full 5 stars!
By the way: the exchange of CarCam I could already laid there (old) use it in my car's wiring, the connections are identical to 100%.

My final conclusion:
Positive
- Front and Heckcam are perfectly matched
-. Frontcam very good u Heckcam good picture quality
- Removal of the SD card possible without having to pull the (sensitive) coaxial
- Very useful: the (suppressible) voice announcement what the unit is doing ....
- Thus the lack of display is not missed in this Cam (without this would be too dangerous, the journey only briefly to watch while on a display!)
- Up to 64GB memory card possible
- Event recording labeled separately (eg in case of accident - intensity adjustable) but -Currently unfortunately (still) do not have read-only!
-. Very easy installation and generously equipped accessories incl 32GB SD Card Class 10 (!)
- Convenient operation and adjustment via app via WiFi and smartphone / tablet (including any time to watch videos without removing the SD Card)
- No battery, but capacitor as a backup battery
- Easy to put on or off the sound recording (eg if you do not want to have a phone conversation while driving have recorded) by simply wiping with a finger on the left side of the Cam (need not to look times and am therefore not distracted from the traffic! )
- Possibility CarCam also be used for monitoring Park (then direct connection to the battery is required by battery monitor under BlackVue Power Magic Pro relief prevention for car battery)
- Very simple alignment of both front- and rear view camera
- Surprisingly good sound quality
- CarCam can be easily removed from the fixture directly attached to the windscreen and mounted by means of a second bracket in another vehicle -dauert few seconds!
- Also when driving over cobblestones no Bildwackler (eg was in the Rollei DVR110 after 6 months extremely disturbing!)
- Supplied Viewer software (German menu) is all very well (including front and rear shots at the same time, follow route on Google Maps, single photographs / stills, even storage of individual sequences driving shots possible, Speedometer, image rotation, zoom, magnifying glass and some.. more ....)
- Different lengths of the connecting cable to the rear view camera available (6 m, 10 m, 15 m) -in my Corolla Verso I had left at 6 m long cable for installation in the roof lining almost 1.5m ....
- Reliable technology (which I unfortunately can not be said of my more than 1 year used Rollei DVR110 -s my local review.!)
- (! Both in German) detailed manual for CarCam and Viewer are written with initial installation to the SD Card
Negative
- Until the start of recording (after automatic switch of CarCam) takes about 25 sec.
- Event records (eg in case of accident) are saved (yet) not read-only (please be aware of the next firmware update)
Other criticisms are not occurred to me, even after prolonged consideration. And after these two negative points are to be regarded at most as Peanuts, there is a perfect score for this CarCam and unlimited purchase recommendation!
Tips:
1. With the initial start-up the German manual is also automatically on the SD card downloaded (can be found in the Doc folder); immediately make backup copy because this manual is currently available anywhere on the Internet to download -also not on the BlackVue site!
2. Conversion to German announcement comes only through the BlackVue Viewer
3. Have my -Currently translated into German only in English existierende- Commission BlackVue app; who interested, this manual can free me of charge: wimalas-blackvueapp-manual (at) online.de
4. Be sure the automatic switch to the park mode off, which is activated at delivery if you have not connected the above battery monitor; otherwise the car battery is in fact possibly sucked dry ...
5. Be careful: when you format the SD card is formatted when you click on OK immediately! There is no common security query whether one because that actually want ....
6. If you buy a new SD card make sure that this class has 10
