I must say that I have a Canon Canoscan N670U and a Medion scanner had previously whose name no longer want to come to mind. Before that, an HP Scanjet 4200C was in my possession.

It looks as if any small dust particles on each motif usually on clearly visible in white. With the scanner, the dust is downright visually identified. This is bad. Mir has not been able to remove the dust before scanning so far that I can work around the issue.
And so I now have a significantly worse result when scanning paper photos than before.
Very unfortunate.

Something else bothers me a little bit on the software of the scanner.
If I set the JPG quality for saving, then I have the quality options High, Standard and Low.
With standard I get much larger files than the CanoScan. With low-contrast, although they are much smaller, but the quality is much worse. High I have not tried.
I would like a finer quality gradation while setting, for example, with 1-100%, as is often common.

After scanning, the scanner driver window closes again, so I again vorfinde saving window the next time you scan. And only here I can change the file name for the next picture.
The alternative, enter the file name after scanning (set in memory window "After scanning the image ...") is completely useless, because the program the path and last filename forgets in this case again and you both with each scan has set completely new, a complete nonsense. Furthermore, after the program opens own pictures browser, whether you like it or not.
My desire to preset all settings for scanning one-time and to be used in each scan and then to make a window in a row many scans, does not work with this software so unfortunately.

7) Paper Size A5 landscape format (to reduce the scanning area, otherwise error message)
8) Insert photo (in the front half of the scan area)
9) scanning by clicking on Scan
For the next photo you have to then adjust the file name in the Save each window, click Scan, and click again in the scanner driver window, click Scan.
(Alternative to the A5 landscape format can also be used to preview and then adjust the Scanauschnitt with the mouse. Then the scan is indeed often faster because the surface is optimized for that you must stop working earlier in the program.
Have oa attempts through other means such as through Auto. Scan or Scan also not helped me, because this effort in the program is even further increased. But I do not rule out that there are other methods besides my described there that are better.

New conclusion:
It is not enough to build a scanner that has an appealing design and a good scanning performance brings. The customer controls the options of the device with the supplied software. And if this is awful to use (and moreover, the benefits of your scanner also inadequately), then ultimately sucks to operate the scanner.
Despite the reasonably resolved dust problem and the ordinary to good scanning performance (excellent, when the contrast problem would not) I stay because of the uncomfortable to use software with 3 stars.
