Customer Review

"Untitled" had just become history, "Stairway to Heaven" the expected megahit, Led Zeppelin cultural property.

If you sit back and enjoy the success of hard-won fruits?

No, after you put:
The themed recordings there is also the certainly happiest, most carefree album of the band. Financially solid secure, artistically recognized, even you can not afford some creative exploring new musical territory. And thus free the group played the songs a handful, which should be gathered here:

"The Song Remains The Same", one of the (in absorption) difficult numbers of LZ. At first hearing without end, annoying, self-citing growing this song and tells a whole universe full of colors and moods. Page with impenetrable Klagwelten made by Gibson & Marshall, Plant - takes, but caught with "Fairy lamentations" which irritated at first - that should hinkünftig in rejection of his punchy Shoutings Trademark be.
"The Rain Song", great painting of melancholy and hope.
"Over The Hills And Far Away": Countryesk, indefinable, memorable. Fun song!
"The Crunge": legendary drum sound of Bonzo, the song stands out due to the glorious chanting of Plant, the - delicious! - Draws attention to a James Brown. Very entertaining pastiche entirely frivolous, but masterfully.
"D'yer Mak'er" turn to just qualify as satire, is committed to the Reggae. Grob underestimated and often classified as mistake; but only if you take the song too seriously (which could not have been intended in the light of the text of the band!).
Following is a stroke of genius, one of the best number of the group. "No Quarter", in his dark masterpiece. Under significant influence of bassist John Paul Jones emerged, benefited from this title to its innovative composition, the perfect arrangements and the passion that was laid by the musicians in the recording clearly to light. A Song for generations.
Is completed the round with "The Ocean", a direct Rocker without compromise, citing the second album. Also - a lot of fun during the recordings.

"Houses of the Holy" is indeed the opinion of this reviewer the level of the first four albums of the band and the successor String "Physical Graffitti" does not do justice, but is a harmonious, well-rehearsed with enthusiasm product full of classics.

One thing is certain: So cheerful one would not live to see the band.
