A great basic book for beginners, simple explanations and practical, easy to implement, with a chapter for each section on the "how-to" explanations and details as in the following chapters. A recipe with about twenty equivalences between grain and extracts each time. English remains rather affordable. One regret all units of measure the book are in gallons, ounces US without equivalence with the metric system. Having expanded my library about brewing, I can almost certify that now is the best book to start homebrewing. What will want to go further can take advantage of the large Anglo-Saxon literature on brewing, they will have a solid foundation after this book.
