A statement shortly before away:
I have bought myself a Playseat because I did not want every time to assemble the steering wheel on my computer table, NEN carpet underneath to push (pedals) and then each time having to rewire. With a Playseat (in my example RaceRoom, basic seat (foldable)) you have everything installed firmly and has thereby even a carpet. After you finished gamble simply fold down seat and put aside!
Assembly:
The installation is very simple, I once tested as the steering wheel incl. Shifter mounted and connected to the tabletop. Practiced creating all within a few simple steps and everything is ready to go.
Style:
Honestly, so far I have no other wheel so loved like this (I had several Ferrari steering wheels tried). You get a high-quality leather cover, stable shift paddles, LEDs which indicate the optimum shift timing, super cable management, many many many buttons and can be covered (2 shift paddles plus 6 buttons, many more at Shifter), high-quality construction. The absolute Burner are the super-realistic pedals. This view not only look like real, but also function as such (you will notice the difference when you press the individual pedals).
The only thing that bothers me: Plastic gears. Although robust, but it is easy - here one would have perhaps desired leather, but ok!
Functionality:
I would now say Start the engine and buckle up, then losbrausen directly - in principle is true. I would but every time I would rewire a short time no more desire. Problem solved thanks Playseat. In many games, the steering wheel has been recognized directly automatically, there are some cases profiles available that offer factory direct an optimum setting. Any profile can be customized through the driver additionally game Ext. The steering wheel makes when any USB plugging a short self-test and lights up, turns completely to the left and to the right (just a kind of Star Trek / Knight Rider). Operation works great and who drives a car regularly as well as to learn or practice anything.
Especially great are the settings of Project Cars: it crashes so violent that the steering breaks or simply distorted, then the steering wheel is also (as in the game) when driving straight wrong - best! Force feedback effects are fine and adaptable, in my opinion, the background noise from the steering wheel is extremely. This can also be partly due to the stop prevent of force feedback, as this is probably generated by the steering unit.
All in one:
Who want to play loose flaky need this. Who is the right gamer is well. And who is a fan of simulations is simple .. should take the steering wheel directly. Steering wheels in this price range, there is little and these have less functionality (eg reduced. B. circuit, only 2 pedals).
4/5 star.
How So?
- The steering wheel makes partly loud noises
- Gear not great processed like the rest
- For optimal gaming experience additional drivers required, which must be downloaded from the Logitech site
