The brightness is very good, but the viewing angle limits the possibilities a little.

The installation of this lamp was made in an existing ceiling lamp in the bathroom.
In terms of size it fit so just now there's pure: For a modern LED bulb is still relatively large.
The advantages: immediate full light, on the other hand is a compact fluorescent lamp with an output of 18 Watt (Osram Mint) not as bright in the cold state a cloudy Funzel and warm.
The brightness of this LED is still significantly better than in models with 9 or 10 Watt, where usually the limit for such LED lamps was previously.
The high efficiency of this lamp is reflected by the low heating.
However shines (also) this lamp in horizontal rake fitted in a flat ceiling lamp you light very biased towards the front.
Conversely, one could also say that firmly criticized ceiling lamps with only one socket for LED bulbs are less suitable: Optimal would be at least two versions of each in the opposite direction.
My photo shows the somewhat one-sided light emission: In fact, it's still in the bathroom but bright enough everywhere.
When buying a ceiling lamp you should consider that.
But as our mirror cabinet is also lit up, you can live with the one-sided radiation.

For life I can not say anything, just the general experiences with brands LED lamps in our house.
If counted current 20 LED lamps, there have been zero failures and also the brightness was not far after.
Only a newly purchased lamp for our bedside I had to immediately change back, because it was a whirring sound.

On the other hand I could change something every few months when the CFLs used previously.
Either verreckten these lamps suddenly, the brightness to be allowed to significantly or it took forever until they were really bright.
Mind you in good proprietary brands such as Osram or Philips.

Therefore (and because of the very low power consumption), I can only recommend the purchase of LED lamps every reader here.
But please mark quality (our lamps from Lidl I count it) and not no-name products of dubious sellers (See my experience with such a useless sensor lamp of a mail-order company from Austria).
Despite the brightness distribution I give 5 stars because our ceiling lamp has just not designed for these bulbs.
