Before first use the Moltio must be vented. You have to start a program that automatically performs. This takes a few minutes.
After that I did the supplied Intenza filter used. This must only be watered, and be introduced instead of the permanent filter easily into the water tank. Then shortly launch a purge and that was it.
On the way you can set filters the water hardness in the level 1-3. I recommend very strongly to use this filter. My Xelsis I used only with filtered water. There was never any problems with calcification or other unpleasant symptoms.
When Moltio I will maintain this and assume that I'm going to last a lifetime at her.
The actual operation of Moltio is very simple. Espresso and coffee can be produced by pressing a button. The espresso has a fine crema, as is the coffee. The strength can be adjusted very conveniently via a button.
The coffee strength can vary over the button for volume adjustment and on the grind. The grind, I have not changed the way because the stone position already corresponds to my taste.
Furthermore, the coffee temperature in 3-stages can be set. Stage 2 is already sufficiently hot. The coffee and / or milk yield can be set via the function keys.
For producing a milk beverage must be unchecking the hot water nozzle, fill the milk container with milk and click it into the device. Is very simple and fast.
With a push of a button can then cappuccino and latte macchiato manufacture. The milk foam is firm, warm and tastes very good spooned.
On milk container I really like that you can fill it with a small, easily removable cover with milk. When Xelsis I always had to remove the entire cover. This eliminates.
When making coffee the coffee spout does not spill, even with the milk foam preparation everything goes in the cup and not on the walls of the machine.
The coffee spout can vary in height, so that even taller glasses fit under it. I put the milk container when not in use in the refrigerator and clean it regularly.
---- Cleaning and care ----
If you use filtered water, you prepare yourself and the machine a big favor. Otherwise you will be prompted by the machine to different actions, such as to empty the pulp container to refill coffee beans or water.
As mentioned, the Moltio stands with me under the wall cabinet. The only thing I have to take up the bean container. This is easy to raise and take a slide.
The service valves for the water tank and the grounds container can be opened to the front. The drip tray for the "rinsing water" is very large in size and can be seen from the front. For this please press the left and right on the drip tray, the small buttons.
The brewing unit should be rinsed regularly under warm water and possibly lubricated with the supplied grease to. For this you have to open the right side door and remove the brewing unit.
The machine I clean the outside with a soft cloth. That's it. In spite of the filter Moltio needs descaling periodically (despite filters).

The Moltio I like the principle very well. But there are a few things that bother me a bit:
- The bean container is a little small. I need this but relatively fewer refills.
- After the milk foam dispensing one has 10 seconds to confirm a flushing. Better I would have found it, if the purge is automatically activated when I push the spout back in the milk container.
- The operation is relatively simple by the one-touch keys, but if you want to enter the machine menu a little deeper, one the symbols need the manual, especially as not be explained by words and must be identified not always work properly for me. One must, for example, to output hot water, choose a key combination. Intuitively not going unfortunately.

A coffee machine is an investment. It must not only agree to the coffee taste, but also the ease of use and appearance.
The coffee tastes very, very good and the machine makes a stylish and well-made impression. The basic operation of Moltio is very simple and easy to understand. For everything else you have to consult the manual for assistance.
But that is only a tiny point of criticism, which falls not significant.
