The era "Nero" comes to an end ...

Nero 12 Platinum (DVD-ROM)

Customer Review

... At least the era paused quite a long time. For 10 years, I used the product "Nero" (since version 5.5.) And I have always held the firm loyalty. At the focal functions remains nothing to complain about - but that can by now even many free ones. My statements here mainly relate to video editing incl. Import and export of films and media management incl. Their playback.

As you can see here at the widely spaced reviews, especially three factors appear to be responsible for the decline:

a) it is "hit and miss" if and what components run flawlessly on the different systems.
b) the performance and results especially in the HD area are disastrous.
c) the support is helpless and overwhelmed.

Was the use of SD video, playback and burn to DVD, etc. still very enjoyable and creative, the handling of HD or FullHD material is currently no longer usable. The results do not come with me to Magix or Adobe zoom: stuttering, crashes, or image distortion .. it's just nothing.
Income and permanent danger of collapsing to get out of sheer Between Secure hardly to work. The ordering and viewing program ("Kwik") is sufficient at best very small claims, etc. In addition, the permanent mammoth updates nervous - probably a sign of bad programming.

Love Nero developers - it is probably nothing more with us both. I say goodbye for now to a competitor and will watch times how you develop so ... but please do not at my expense.

2 stars I give just because the basic functions continue to work properly ... but for the money that is simply too little (burning, CD ripping, slideshows, etc. that). Probably not without reason a series 2012er program packages are upgrades incl. Currently available for under 40 uro. But when it does not work, even this money is too much.
Unfortunately - Dirk
