Michael Giaccchino is quite a successful choice for a "Star Trek" soundtrack. Although the pompous orchestral, eg the accounting for the soundtracks of Jerry Goldsmith, but some small references and efforts he lacks in this direction "All music" composing are more than evident. Where earlier were "Star Trek" credit scores but discharged directly from a great fanfare, to Giacchinos "Star Trek" -Leitmotiv is here pronounced only in Track 5 "Enterprising Young Men". At the end of track 10 "Nero Death Experience" then sounds which through time, so the connection is made to the first TV series, namely the theme music before Giacchino with Track 13 "That new car smell" shows how to be changeable "Star Trek "theme is before Track 14" To Boldly Go ", the theme music of the TV series picks up again and leads over the end credits. The final touch for a perfect "Star Trek" credit score is lacking in the music here a little, but otherwise it's all in all a great soundtrack, in which neither "Star Trek" -stimmige music, even pace or lack drama. One can only wish that Giacchino on board will remain the next movie and refined his work.
