I looked for books in the series for HBO; a fantastic story, rich in characters and plot twists. As with Tolkien and more recently Robert Jordan, a first-rate characters crowd. character never used secondarily. This set is an ideal choice contains the first 5 volumes by 5 pounds, as set of 6 pounds (Volume 3 in two books + 15 euros) and the set of 7 books (Volumes 3 and 5 in two books 30 euros!) . And the text in English? Disappointed with translations sometimes limits, I read all the fantasy in English. GRR Martin's style is easy to read. Certainly some vocabulary, but no long sentences. Many narrative density! the words are precise and was quick to imagine the scenes. We may be far from the literary poetry of Tolkien, but it is an effective style that keeps the reader in suspense. Better than I think David Eddings (The Belgariad) or Terry recently Goodwind (The Sword of Truth). By the way have you read the Mistborn Trilogy by Brandon Sanderson? beautiful story and beautiful style, which is reflected in the latest co-published books with Robert Jordan to complete 12 volumes The Gathering Storm, 13 Towers of Midnight and the future of 14 the eye of the world.
