This album starts with "Caroline", the first single of the Fortunes, then they were still a trio. This song made in March 1964 caused a sensation when it was promptly chosen as the theme song of the pirate radio station "Radio Caroline". Already the second single "You've Got Your Troubles" brought the Fortunes, now passed her belt already has five members, then the final breakthrough. They stormed the charts among others in England, where they brought it to No. 2 in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and the USA. Especially this title and subsequent recordings from 1965 and 1966 "Here It Comes Again", "This Golden Ring" and "You Gave Me Somebody To Love" made the Fortunes become an integral part of the international music scene, and in 1971 she had then again a small peak of her career with titles like "Here Comes That Rainy Day Feeling" and "Freedom Come, Freedom Go".
On this CD, which is now already 10 years on the market, all the "Fortunes hits" are ultimately assembled in their original version. The sound is in my opinion satisfactory to good.
The 12-page booklet that particular good discography with pictures of the single cover and three pages containing English-language information about the Fortune and this album is very well presented.
For me the title yet heard "You've Got Your Troubles" today the "Top 10" of my favorite tracks and would be for me (if I did not already have the album) reason for purchase. Given the currently low price of just 11 I can only recommend to a speedy purchase, especially since this is the most comprehensive on the market album of Fortunes, on virtually everything to me of the Fortunes in "international standard" is, is gathered in the original version. Who knows if this album is still long to buy at a reasonable price.
Overall, this album earned five stars in my view as well as a special buy recommendation.
