Unfortunately, Flick of the Switch was in the reviews off too badly.
The sound is much more rough than the two predecessors. There is a lack anthems like For thouse about; Hells Bells or Night of the Long Knives.
For me, this album is still closely followed by Back in Black one of the best with Brian Johnson until today. Why?
The songs are not as polished (as I said), but come over immensely rough. Every single track is very hard for AC / DC ratios. Brain Johnson yells as if it were his life. And what I like most: The percussion is more prominent than in other albums. Thus, the songs come across extremely powerful. Unlike many a successor (a super track, remaining average) has this disc no filler.
My first AC / DC concert was in 1985 at the Fly on the Wall Tour. Unfortunately, none of these songs was then on the setlist.
I have a part in 1983 bought as a plate, and like everyone else bought later in time as CD.
While so dusty that one way or another CD on the shelf, it runs on a regular basis.
Tip: if necessary reinziehen several times, then the disk lights already.
