The songs on this album are different, lend a certain melancholy and simply can not be otherwise described as "consistent". Only hearing these songs dealt a in the atmosphere that can be felt even in the film. In addition, certain songs carry the feeling of the American Civil War with itself, which is why I did not help but come to feel increasingly reminiscent of the movie "Cold Mountain". (What maybe this is because one of the bands "Civil War" is) And somehow one feels indeed in some sort of wartime displaced, although it here has more to the aftermath of a great war, which even 74 years later (consciously ) has not yet faded.
The lyrics you can relate to individuals in the film and fit like chalk and cheese, convey fear and resignation of the people, but also hope.
In my opinion, it is rare that there are so many songs in an OST is in one place, all of which have really captured the aura of a film, even though they all sometimes differ extremely from the concept.
For me one of the best OST long.
