Customer Review

Phew! As a longtime fan whose favorite "Meteora" and "Living Things" are, me missing to the album unfortunately somehow the words. Maybe I'm starting to like this: I read somewhere that wanted to record on the album make the music, who hated her parents earlier. Well, guys, I probably belong in this parent category. (We're all about the same age.) I do not hate the album, but I can not do anything for long periods. But why? On Gitarrengeschrammel it is not - it has always been so in LP. But earlier it was melodic, profound. Now it's only tinny and somehow unilaterally. The beautiful electronic parts are much receded into the background. They have yet to prove on "Living Things" that you can turn it into something great in conjunction with the guitar (and, actually, on the first 3 albums). And especially me goosebumps Chesters singing lacks. I like it when he screams, but his vocal potential is not exhausted here.
As I wrote in "Living Things" that they sounded grow up, they do now, unfortunately, a step that do a lot of bands at their peak: they are complicated. The timing is somewhat strenuous with many pieces, because it either unfamiliar rhythms or it just comes to play as quickly as possible.
There are many beautiful places on the album, such. As the chorus of "All for Nothing" or the entry of "Until It's Gone". "Wastelands" rocks all right, where the chorus will go along a while, but it is not somehow manages. Even the lunatic "War", the ever suitable for the reduction of aggression, makes me always hope. Actually, each title has something that speaks for him and makes sure that I'm listening to the album over and over again. I want it to necessarily like - for months. It's Linkin Park. But despite everything, I can not find proper wire to. Only when "Final Masquerade" then sounds through what I love the band. Even after the umpteenth time, it's for me still so much that I'm thinking: "Oh, that's so beautiful I listen to the album simply again from the beginning to Maybe I like it yes then better..." And the cycle of disillusionment begins again.
It involves recklessness, exploitation, despair and especially war, in matters large and small. You can see the ruins and the end of everything in front of him formally. And just as the album sounds. Raw, broken, anarchistic. Almost like the punk movement in the 70s and early 80s. To that extent it is consistent. Unfortunately, for me anyway, the first low point in her career. But after the big bang comes indeed usually a new order. Let's hope for improvement.
