The immortal Illusion Part Two

The first album: rock, down to earth, creates the illusion of hope; "Coma" makes free to believe in the good.
This: disillusioned.

As a result, you hantelt by: times lovely ("14 Years", you can see here on the truly defeatist text, "Yesterdays" killer guitar !, "Knockin 'On Heaven's Door", "Breakdown"; aggressive, challenging the point: "Get in the Ring", "Shotgun Blues", "Pretty Tied Up", "Locomotive" with the boater ends Lead by Slash, "You Could Be Mine", Appetite-worthy Kracher truly terminatorischer dimension); all quasi as a prelude to culminate in "Estranged" is sad, disillusioned the listener the mental life of the hero portrayed to - again (see "Coma" of Parallel album) - to culminate in a kind Nahtoderfahrung, which in turn necessarily only gitarrische a sound explosion can be overcome and making room for hope.
And indeed: the two solos of Slash are not in vain for a few best that solierende guild ever could produce: the first nor the - song typical - disturbance dedicated, exploded the following literally in a tonal richness and emotion (hope!) That One might think that the inspiration for this masterpiece and the craftsmanship would above ground, in fact. Not to beat!

Unfortunately - salute to the production - is partially exaggerated: "Locomotive" as a tough se guitar song is forced through dozens of overdubs on the wall. Here would have been less.

But overall: This double whammy GNR have a whole world reinvented and said what had to say in rock music, and could be said (for a long time).
One may only perform current effusions current "supergroups" to heart: here meanders the level between Selbstverkitschung (Bon Jovi), uninspired monotony (Nickelback) and at best (futile) effort as us dozens "hip rock bands" (in truth Teen Group) strongly keep in mind.

Those looking for real rock music with depth - which is well served with the illusion robbers.
