The Lord Of The Rings - The Battle for Middle Earth 2

The first strategy game for the new Next Generation console from Microsoft. I was curious how well the implementation of control would succeed for the controller - and was not disappointed! After 1-2 hours of play time you have recorded and noted hardly the one not as usual playing with mouse and keyboard. In this respect, therefore, a big plus.

The game itself is captivating. With a larger TV and crank the sound it affects at least twice as great.
The story of the campaign is not so mature, you are thrown from one battle to the next. Although before and after a mission videos ahead with the plot, me somehow not enough this, because anyway the story is jerky.
But the campaign has a completely different shortcoming - it is far too short! 8 missions for the defense of the West, and 8 for Mordor and Orcs. That's far too little! With merely a more or less great battle, for example, each of the empires of the West subjugated - whether large or dwarf fortress Rivendell. The personally I find quite sad.

Another fun factor is playing against the AI ​​of the game, so the "battle". Here you can train his abilities, even though I have to say that the "Light" opponents almost "kindergarten-level" is whereas the "Medium "already is quite strong and much more aggressive.

The main focus of the game is obviously the factor "Multiplayer". Huge battles, great graphics, human opponents ... everything you need!

All in all a great game, but I would be under normal circumstances, only a total of 4 star, because the game does have a campaign, but puts too much emphasis on multiplayer. But since it is the first strategy game for the Xbox 360, and I'm a Lord of the Rings fan anyway, and the game is otherwise really great, I still give 5 points!
