... If I had to choose one of my cameras!
I was all my life a keen amateur photographer and in addition to a Lumix DMC G1 (with interchangeable lens), I have a Fujifilm X100 and a Lumix DMC-TZ8 - and every now and then I asked myself the question: if you find yourself only for a choose camera would have, which of the above would you choose?
For the DMC G1 is the fact that you can make beautiful pictures of animals with her (because of the telephoto lens) and grandchildren can take pictures even without that you notice it immediately. Speaking against the fact that you always have to carry around a very nice weight with with camera and lens!
For the Fujifilm X100 alone already speaks of the fact that it (to my mind) looks beautiful (in their retro look) and also -if you master (which is not easy) - can make very good pictures. Negative about this camera is the fact that one has no zoom option with her and therefore must approach the object that you can otherwise zoom back in with his lens.
And for both cameras is true: You have to have on hand, once you have a great motif looks that you want to hold off guard. Often, it is a regrettable fact that I just in this (crucial) moment had not the two cameras at hand.
In the DMC-TZ8 The situation already is somewhat different: She's so handy that they (almost) fits in every pocket, they are therefore the right moment quickly has at hand - and: It makes quite respectable Photos which in terms of quality which the two aforementioned cameras do not (or hardly) inferior. (And when you create a good photo in my opinion the good photographer is still crucial, as the camera ...)
Conclusion: I would have opted for the DMC-TZ8, if you had asked me before the election.
Would have if not by chance a friend had come to visit, which would have presented us with pride his Lumix DMC-LC1.
This camera (successor to the TZ8 in 3rd or even 4th Genration) combines all the advantages of the TZ8, but also (in order of importance to me priorities):
-With A LEICA 1: 2.0 5.8 / 6.0 -4.2.8 an extremely strong light (for this price range) Lens
-an optical viewfinder, which allows without being blinded to do on sunny days landscapes
-A very attractive image editing program (Creative correction) and
-The ability to edit photos or store via WiFi (wireless).
As a negative point, I see the fact that the (supplied) battery can be charged only in the camera and its performance (in my experience) no longer complies with all the power of its predecessor. One must therefore, do not want to stand in a particular situation with an empty battery can afford an external charger and at least one more spare battery.
But the bottom line:
Even when I could not even install on my Kindle Fire, the WiFi function, the Lumix DMC-LC1 is a camera that I have always with me, and now (after 3 weeks) no longer want to miss!
As plant some photos that I've done in the first week with the new camera. It is seen that given me the "games" with the "creative correction" currently much joy!
