I thought to myself, I write now out my review of "Need for Speed - Pro Street". As you can see from the awarded stars, this falls well - unlike some other review here.
I can not understand what I have given in one or the other comment for the good as many.
On the one hand, the absence of the feature is often criticized as such: No illegal race at night more! So, I imagine it as follows: A 12-year-old (plus, minus) playing "Need for Speed - Underground", because he has seen "The Fast and the Furious" and thus increases its attention to the NFS series. Because who knows but 12-year-old no NfS title before "Underground", is "Underground" for him the beginning of the series is. So buy the 12-year-old cheerfully each other title, because it's all about illegal races that really are evil.
Suddenly he encounters a title, the more "Back to the roots" is back. No illegal racing on public roads, no race at night. Whereby the former is indeed a novelty, however, no one has forbidden it, that you may break new ground within a computer game series - the change from driving on the day with luxury cars for driving at night with import tuners has so apparently also not disturbed. Anyway, the 12-year-old is pissed that he may no illegal races in the tuner culture, which is really evil drive, and hence goes first on Amazon in order as to submit a review about "Pro Street", the so evil as the "Underground" title is.
In the review, but may not be missing, that the control time stupidly realism simulating, so is no longer arcade-heavy, which of course demands a lot of the players at once more on skill. The times in which we won 3 minute lead on his opponents, are now over. Damn, the folks at EA should be ashamed of Real to offer the player a new and better driving experience and a new challenge! Reprehensible! Pah!
What the 12-year-old still writes, things would be like "The menu is confusing!", "There can no longer be tuned so much!" or "The graphics are crap!".
The menu is not confusing. It is very well organized, like a menu should be.
The tuning is not limited. Course, if you just buy the already coordinated packages, instead of individually tune, it appears a few, yes, otherwise you can still very much be compared to "Most Wanted" even more again, like in "Underground 2 ". Autosculpt is also represented, allowing individualizing auto parts, as well as a wind tunnel, the easier it one, sent to tune for speed and aerodynamics.
The graphics are not bad either. It is even better than in "Most Wanted", and that has been pretty pretty graphics, even for today's standards. At a "Crysis" comes "Pro Street" get close, but it looks very very good.
That would be so in the rotary all the points that will be addressed by the critics.
Oh yes, very great gave me a certain writers like here on Amazon - which has the drag races taken down because it can not and could not have in Underground. Cute.
And one more thing: There are different levels of difficulty, just not in the traditional sense. There are three modes that determine whether the game will help the player to remain under braking and on the racing line. This affects clearly the difficulty.
I also still falls what a. Namely, here and there complain that "Pro Street" shall possess a very thin story line. When I say "Underground" look at me, I do not know the slightest story. You simply drive only one after more than 100 races in order to be registered on any lists at # 1. In "Underground 2" I'm interested in the story only in the sense that I know at least that it is told in comic book form, what is at stake, but I do not know because it does not interest me. If I want to gamble a racing game, it is not about story-telling. Allows a backbone drive which races would not be bad, but ... GTA 2 is one of the hottest games ever for just about everyone, and the story is ... uh ... not exist.
So, I take out my impressions I've gathered, briefly together:
Contraindications:
- Little innovation
Pro:
- New types of races
- Many cars
- Good graphics (smoke ^^)
- Class sound
- Simple tuning system
- Increased level of difficulty, thanks to simulation-heavy control
I hope I can open with this review one or the other's eyes. I can only give the advice to before buying a game to get the demo and to test them first.
