The Mass Effect Trilogy

Vorrabwort: I do not spoilere and can you therefore the review without memory read.
Only ... where does one begin when you want to evaluate a game like Mass Effect? Hmm, difficult! I rush Just have a look and start with the first impression you get on. Packing:

Packaging (4/5)
The packaging falls but rather from very lush. A simple cardboard envelope contains a hinged shell in which are the DVDs. A few, relatively faded, images can be seen on all sides of the envelope. That it was by and large already. For me personally it does not matter, since me the game interesting and not packing, and therefore give here 4 out of 5 points. But would be a bit more attention to detail but have been nice.

I want to specially assess Origin, I focus on the installation on the essentials. Once you have logged in Origin, DVD pure and install. Once a DVD-exchange and the game is (almost) ready to play. Before we can throw ourselves into the adventure -> must
Origin (2.5 / 5)
To be able to play Mass Effect, (internet connection required!) You have to register with Origin, install the platform and be logged into Origin. What I personally do not like. If I buy a product I want that also allowed to use without restriction and will not be forced to register anywhere to use the product must. Certainly EA has the right to do, but the customer towards an impertinence! But the issue is known already to satisfy ;-).
Otherwise I Origin seems like a lite version of Steam. One can pick up a few more, simple act automatic patches and with friends with EA games. The only problem: The Score importing ME1 to ME2 may be faulty. That brings Origin still on a rating of 2.5 out of 5.

Story (5/5)
Better than any movie! The basic plot is indeed nothing earth bewegenes - The universe is under threat and we want to save it - but these many small branches under a variety of characters, the conflicts, the side stories, the interactions that own course of action that the whole game, right up to the end influenced and can decide over life and death, is just so exciting and captivating. I am still so packed by the history and the different ways and ends that I even after the 5th time by playing all the parts of my enjoyment of the game have. Hats off. 5 points are actually still too little!

Atmosphere (5/5)
A variety of aliens as the Turian, Asari, quarians, batarians, krogan, Geth, elcor, Drell, (etc) which have their own culture, its own temperament, its own lifestyle and architecture, let the universe look very colorful. For this purpose the many solar systems, planets, cities, environments and spaceships / stations all together could not be more. For this purpose a lot of different individuals and companions, who all together one's own lifestyle. An alternation is lacking anywhere, and therefore give it 5 out of 5 points.

Gameplay (4/5)
The controls are very simple and works like a typical third-person shooter. Running, climbing, take cover and shoot comprises soon the entire facility. Add to this simple interaction and commands. For the fighting that was good enough, however, a somewhat broad tactics menu would have been nice, since it contains only movement, coverage, and target skills commands. Otherwise, the protagonist manages soft and controlled. Nevertheless, 4 out of 5 because some tactics possibility missing.

Graphics (5/5)
Admittedly, the first part of Mass Effect is not a big feast for the eyes more, but this has also been a few years on the hump. Just like Mass Effect 2, which I would classify but the graphic backdrop for today's standards is still in the "Good". Mass Effect 3 brings something fresher wind in the screen. A milestone in terms of graphics is Mass Effect but not, yet I find the style very suitable and, for me personally, the graphics are not particularly important. Nevertheless Mass Effect is beautiful to look at, especially because of the many details, and give here 5 out of 5 points.

Sound / voice-overs (5/5)
Caveat: I only have a effes stereo headset without any special frills.
For my simple equipment in the field of sound experience (yawn ;-)), I found the noise but very atmospheric. But since I do not have particularly good quality, I will leave this point even the people who can describe relevant advice.
But the voice acting, I would like to mention. Namely where there is nothing to complain about! Unlike even, I find it really well! Good, small Patzer are times in it, but in such a dialogue heavy game that can certainly happen to anyone. Here I give full marks.

Actions (5/5)
An issue that I want to evaluate, because it is a major component of the game. The own actions and decisions. The options in dialogues responding fall from good to evil, each having an impact on the history (across all parts!), To the companion, to the public and to their own appearance.
For this you have the following options: evil decision / neutral decision / good decision
The more you are on the evil and the good way, the more personality gets her that if it is high enough, new dialog options in the good / evil unlocks.
Clearly: 5 points.

Multiplayer (3/5)
(Only Mass Effect 3)
The multiplayer has a relatively simple and is a nice feature for in between, actually - actually emphasis on - can only be a positive side effect. Why "actually" I explain to the end.
The principle of the multiplayer is online with up to 3 playmates (ie total four) ward Monster waves and perform small tasks. This makes her on various cards in several levels of difficulty and different enemy types. As a reward you get for both EP eueren character, as well as money to buy packages, the new races, classes and equipment includes (random content).
Now for the "real": In multiplayer games won increase the galaxy readiness to fight evil in single player, the effect on the end of the third part may have. That is, if you play any multiplayer, you automatically remain content withheld in single player. What I find extremely unfortunate and I therefore forgive only 3 out of 5.
Hint: Just play times towards the end of Mass Effect 3 multiplayer a couple of hours, so that you will withhold nothing.

All in all a durschnittliche rating of 4.25 points. Mainly because of Origin. Without the games platform counting and the game itself to a review I get to 4.5 by 5 points (rounded 5 star Amazon).

In summary, the Mass Effect series is a sci-fi adventure that so dramatic and captivating as it is staged action-packed and class. Story top! Playful top! Game top! Both the gameplay, the story, the freedom of action and the atmosphere so much convinced that everyone who is on an epic and emotional adventure in the universe, should be vollstenst satisfied.

Without even great thing for the game to say, have played two words to those who have not yet Mass Effect, or only partially,: strong buy recommendation!

Little Addendum: I have to be totally forgotten by the music included in the assessment. However, as already 5 have been rated of 5 stars, I let the time of the vote out and would like to take this opportunity once the good rewarded Jack Wall, who composed the great music for Mass Effect :-)
