The D7200 is a box we choose by reason and not necessarily by passion (I would have taken a D750 if I had to make up my mind in a day but I am very pragmatic, I have used the D750 is really excellent but finally I decided to choose to stay DX to keep certain goals for the 1.5x factor and also to save my wallet, I was not sure I really really better images with the D750 globally with my practice yet old). The output price of D7200 was a high pile but now it is more affordable especially with the offer that has just started! Only the superb noise management FX sensors fail me in some really low light.
In all fairness this expert housing is what is now the best on this sensor format, around 1000 euros, all brands, it is already a nice sum for a body only. Practicing the photo with DSLR for over twenty wanting never spend unreasonable amounts to a passion among many, so I waited a long time before leaving my range D300 / D90, preferring to invest regularly in good objectives rather bright as changing housing with each new release. In one sentence, this case will allow you to progress without real limits other than your creativity. The D7200's sensor has progressed dynamically, it really gets lots of shadow detail, if only for that I will have to change sooner box! Autofocus is really quite efficient and sometimes almost too nervous, I set to AF-C + 3D mode, subject tracking is very effective (children move, moving animal) Small detail, the autofocus has no group mode that I found useful on the D750 but may be reduced if necessary the number of AF points by zones. The sensors do not cover the entire field but rather general matter, alas, that said image is damn well covered already). The D7200 has almost all the practical ergonomics demanding amateur photographer that he will obey you without requiring you to leave the scene of the eyes to delve into a submenu for long seconds to change a white balance or an ISO range. For those that already have Nikon, the handling is very simple and the menus they often announces complete complex are just right. Only waiting for my taste that AF button under the right thumb for certain uses. In terms of noise management, with the D7200 I limit myself to ISO 1600 (yes, only because beyond whatever some say that rise to 6400/12800 ISO, I find a little too noisy image. The software helps (Dxo, Lightroom or other extensions for photoshop) but honestly, for it remains usable as is, I limit myself to ISO 1600 in low light. You can go beyond if we want to gain speed and the scene is light (outdoors sports photo for example). For my part, Iso-car set to 1600 and so I believe that we must rise above, I prefer to do it on time. Obviously, when we are in the position "it will be noisy or there will be no picture at all", we can actually climb at low values it imaginable a few years ago (ISO 6400/8000 with treatment).
I have not yet tested the night D7200 photo in real situations, it is expected soon (I'll do an addition here). The houses tests still show the presence of noise that must be mitigated in post processing. If noise management is a top priority for you I recommend highly enough the D750, twice as expensive but it's my absolute highlight the true meaning (in ISO 5000 is still very clean, so it earns just under 2 speed values for a full-size in terms of noise, the rest being discussed for hours between full-frame and DX format).
--- IS THE RIGHT CHOICE FOR YOU? ---

True, on this unit, no asset "shock" of our society at all screen: no swivel screen (sometimes useful in the crowd gathered around an event, or to keep quiet), no GPS (which consumes battery), no touch screen (studio practice but less sunlight if you can hardly see anything on the screen). - No top LCD panel! - No high synchro flash (it's that thing just the ability to take pictures with an external flash exceeding the speed of 1 / 250th of a second The built-in flash can not be used in this mode, it is necessary?.
