The camera fits comfortably in your hand, the processing is valuable and the handling is typical canon intuitive.
The picture quality is in this class m. M. n so far with the best you can have.. The same goes for the videos, which was quite without shaking and even with less than optimal light conditions, the back illuminated CMOS sensor thanks, remain free from noise.
What I really like the manual controls, which I'm already used to from my Canon D60. ;) This can be again better photos than in the auto mode create. As a constructive improvement I would wish as already mentioned several times that the flash is not always up automatically and the scene does not limit the MP to 3 "in low Lichverhältnissen" but that can be I think nachpatchen all via firmware. Otherwise, the picture could be improved to photo time, which with just under 2 seconds compared to other compact cameras rel. High fails. However, personally I do not need it, because you do not do usually within 2 seconds appealing images.
ps: If you like to use even GPS accesses SX230 which has those same sensor integrated yet. One should know that the GPS use much energy, which is why I have decided against it, however.
per

All in all I have to say I have now found "the" camera. My requirements were good to very good image quality to ISO800, 1080p video with fast autofocus and rel. Zoom quiet noises, extensive manual controls, an ergonomic handle and a good price / performance ratio.
After I read about 2 months intensive reviews, tests and forums and compared numerous recordings in various ISO levels, I have come to the conclusion that this compact travel zoom camera in its class plays along at the top, if not the new reference represents.
Based on the findings, I forgive 5 stars and a recommendation for this camera.
