I consider the acquisition a 24mm 2.8 prime lens so superfluous, apart from the IS.
At 35mm vignette even at maximum aperture already "mild", distortion almost eliminated.
Sharpness excellent. When no aperture 2 or more open need,
you can dispense with a fixed focal length!
Putting the device as a portrait-glass at f 2.8 and 70 mm a, you get
a soft pleasant bokeh. Colors and contrast are compelling, the momentum is very good.
Convincing skintones, details in dark areas are remarkably well in detail.
With 50-70mm has my copy a (minimal) "decentralization", the upper right corner is less sharp than
the other image-corners, below it is Gerell a touch sharper than above.
On several photos and settings to see.
(Must say this that I'm quite a "Pixel Peeper"!)
This corner is actually but still better than my old 24-105mm in 70mm regardless of the corner!
And in defiance of all prophecies of doom, the 24-105mm is also a very good appearance, I think.
Generally my copy is the 24-70II but much sharper.

Portraits are so beautifully done, but here you can also like
for example access to a 85mm fixed focal length, for Bokeh creamier, and exemption.

The price difference can express almost no recommendation.
Langzeitbelichter and night clippers should take the New IIer!
Those who can afford it, it should afford it.
For video clips, you can even take the 24-105mm moreover,
if you want to afford two "Always Draufs".
All the wince at 2000 Euro ...
The 24-105 I used 4 years and can say: Great part.
Test pictures and 100% -Crops pixel counter come!
No matter what is supposed to be there then ...
