OK, the game idea is not so new. It is divided into groups and tried to guess words that one of its members in front of the other eight. This can be verbal, drawing, kneading or humming. You already know these requirements eg. By Party Time or Activity. Usually the games differ only by the terms which may then be more or less tricky, interesting or funny. In Cranium however, there are a lot of additional challenges. First of all, there are 4 areas:
1) Data Head: Yes / No allegations dissolve terms define (2 or 4 possible answers), whether or not by answering questions.
2) CreativeCat: terms knead draw with open or closed eyes.
3) Star Performer: Famous Persons or figures imitate (even verbally represent), classical mime and songs by humming or whistling.
4) Word Worm: spell words forward or backward, complete phrases or transposing the letters of a given word so that future of guessed term arises.
With a cube is then determined, from which the 4 Stack the term is for the group.
All this is not as easy as it sounds, because the guidelines have it all in itself! And unfortunately limits the hourglass the time of presentation.

Positives:
This is once again a game in which one can make really nice in front of others for monkeys. The laughs are almost inevitable. Just as well as the fainting when times one is completely wrong with his performance.
In a consent round the game for plenty of good humor makes.
One must here be working well and there is a real group dynamics.
Depending on the composition and number of groups can be a very long and fun night out of it are.

The requirements are not entirely without, so that one here has no match for a child's birthday in front of him, but one for "adults" (see below).

Negatives:
The words "12 years" is a bad joke! The choice of terms screwed the age limit significantly higher. The terms are in principle not difficult, but not just any known - especially the younger not. Anyone under 20 knows, for example, the songs "Je t'aime (moi non plus)" by Serge Gainsbourg or "Polar" gray zone? And then who is so familiar with the fact that he / she can hum or whistle the song for other recognizable? Most of us were more than 30 and we already had considerable problems!
If a group has repeatedly represent criteria in a category that is not their - and therefore one gets nothing - makes itself ever "frustration" wide.

Neutral:
Since the game is relatively complicated (see above), you should be more than 2 - 3 members in each group. But that you also need at least 6 - 8 players.
Cranium is a game for people with slightly wider knowledge base - especially on the musical level.. But unfortunately that is not for everyone.
The look of the game certainly could be more complex and demanding, but on the other hand it also makes a durable impression.

Conclusion:
Cranium is currently the largest party game with such concept. One can certainly not playing every weekend. But in a larger group and on special occasions, (esp. Sylvester or on birthdays), it is a welcome change. We have been amused - even about their own despair when displaying or rates. The resonances were positive to very positive. And at the price you can not much go wrong.
The bottom line is a classic party game for more, good-humored groups or those who want to be there!
