Positive:
-Size! I can not understand this trend of growing smartphone. My old also had a 4.3 "(at that time I thought it was cool, but for one-handed use less suitable), so what had under 3.8" ago. The Go could have easily "tolerated display, but the 3.5" a 3.7 is the size for me perfectly fine.
-The Go is by the size and the surface material is very comfortable to hold. One can easily reach all points of the screen with your thumb. The frosted plastic surface gives good grip and can not even fast slipping out of the hand the smartphone. How much it is, ... protected from scratches, I can not say at this point.
-The Touch display can be very good use, and responded so far always fluently and precisely. The special is next to the scratch resistance that you can use the display even with wet fingers!
The color is intense and definitely more powerful than a normal LCD, but not too colorful as with an AMOLED. As a reference I can here mention only the HD7, the LCD looks clear pale next to the GO.
-The Speed of work is more than satisfactory. The dual-core is doing its job and the system is running consistently liquid. Only when I was out on the internet and had to process more pages, the Go needs to return to the home screen for 2-3 seconds to change your mind, but this probably is then also to the 512MB RAM. The memory does not otherwise negative impact, but since I'm not a gamer, what the smartphone is anyway not designed.
-The Battery life is bomb! Although I have currently only WiFi and never the mobile Internet on, am in favor but throughout the wireless network and have 5 accounts are updated upon arrival. The Go therefore keeps me loose two days through and even then still about 30% capacity. What, ... is for outdoor use with GPS, Mobile Internet I can here unfortunately also too early to say, but is replenished during the week after a long mountain bike tour!
-The Audio playback is very good for my Verhätnisse and balanced (via headphones jack connection to the plant and in the car) and the best result of my previous mobile audio playback devices. Thus it is also fun so that listening to music while ... makes sports. Unfortunately, Sony sent here with only normal headphones and no in-ears which I prefer.
-The Connections for USB and 3.5mm jack are each left and right of the page at the top of the device (smart decision by Sony!). The volume rocker on the right side in the middle and can be easily operated.
-There Is dust and waterproof, I have both been tested. And the mineral glass promises scratch resistance, it definitely makes a better impression than the equivalent of the House of Corning.
Neutral:
-The Camera has good and not so good properties. With 5MP has a current minimum resolution. The LED flash is highly luminous and almost brighter than the dual LED my HD7. The image quality is very good lighting conditions (outside, in the sunshine) well. Indoors in artificial light and any support from the flash to the camera then is more suitable only for more shots of "Still Life". Once something moves, such as flowers in the wind, the cat does not want to keep still entirely, ... the camera has bigger problems to make the image more or less sharp.
The scope, however, is top. Especially the panorama function, 3-D function, preloaded scenes ... bring a bit of fun in the matter.
Negatives:
-The Resolution of the display was before buying the only gripe with the phone. Although Sony uses the Bravia Engine, which also provides beautiful color and contrast, but they had the resolution to set a bit higher. It bothers me personally, although not particularly since the Go is not a multimedia bolide, but it is also no longer appropriate.
-The Reception problem. I had the first few days the problem that sometimes I had no power and the phone did not automatically eingwählt again. I am then to the menu -> Xperia -> Internet settings -> Select network operators ... and got the go adapt to my provider allowed. Since I had no problems when I was in a wireless coverage area, it chose repeatedly without any problems into the net.
All in all I'm very happy with the Xperia Go. The value for money is good and when in August the update comes to Android 4, there will be a bit better :)
