The typical early fans of the old days (and I include myself), some of the recent albums criticized him over inflationary and permanent when it came to his conversion (soft purged mainstreamiger "Hipster Pi"), get charming but hearty on the nose. Especially in the first tracks he makes here directly for clarity - casual, chilled, as then, the young Kautz.
I was not 100% happy with the "new" Pi whose fanbase noticeably getting younger and female was - but hey, we are also older colleagues: o) The last albums had their own class, which often only after a long time opened up - but I can understand that you still can not find the Pi, which you knew. Thanks anyway Friedrich, that you also once again what rauslässt set us. Not even when you hear with an ironic awareness - "Perfume" I see but an outlier, I can start with the track not much, that's not my prince. Great end at the end of the album is the long track with Kollegah - here Pi shows again how awesome it can generate images in the mind of the listener with its Lines - which I loved already in "Lord of the things". Very very well done, I find "Spur der Steine", lyrically again a typically profound PP.
A very nice album (incidentally also in terms of design, ex-graphic artist Friedrich goodness) with the old joke, the old charm, the old Pi. The beats are gorgeous, not classic, but not electronic, although deep, relaxing and with bit of special ... the whole album has the typical, old prince flair. "Age Pi" is still the wrong conceptually it shows (and speaks that too directly from) that he is still the same. He has forgotten it not, he lives only currently different - that's the message that he is trying to convey. "Oh, I can not - but I must not - except I want." Self-assured, dear Prince - but after the years you may afford it.
Much continued success, old fellow!
