I started with the kit lens 14-42 and a bought-45-200. With two lenses me get shots in a quality as I was used to from Nikon. Qualitatively, I saw no difference, that shooting a little too warm fell except in artificial light in the color. But since I mostly take pictures in nature, this defect did not fall for me significant.
Meanwhile, I sold the two aforementioned lenses and replaced by two Olympus M.Zuiko lenses, namely through a 9-18 and 14-150. Now I have covered the most important for me focal length ranges.
Back to camera: It works perfectly with the two foreign brands lenses, the autofocus is blazing fast and the functions via the touch screen, especially the direct tripping over the same, I do not want to miss.
Olympus lenses are the cheaper alternative, but have the supposed lack that they do not have an image stabilizer. Olympus has housed the stabilization in its casings.
But I can say that the lack of stabilization effect in any way on the quality of my shots.
Especially recommended (professional like about their noses, but I did not care ...) I want the "Intelligent Auto". This excellently exposed night shots I have succeeded without flash. Other members of our group, I had to provide them with my photos, because their DSLR cameras had disembarked in time. I had the additional advantage of the electronic viewfinder, which allowed me to control the shot despite darkness.
I have now bought a second case of the G3, in order to not always have to change lenses. Twice the same model ... I think that says everything about my satisfaction.
