THE rock album of the 90's

Nevermind (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Nirvana's second album "Nevermind" can probably safely as the most important rock album of the 90 be considered, because it influenced an entire generation and led to previously ignored as alternative rock also commercially very top. Responsible for this are the 3 hit singles, the opener "Smells Like Teen Spirit", which is one of the best and most important songs of the 90's, and the two at least as good for me follow-Lieder "In Bloom" and "Come As You Are ". At Nirvana's music is the best, that although it was made by the simplest means (guitar, bass, drums and vocals) and Kurt sings partly really quite wrong (I like it so perfect), captivate with their simple melodies and a terrific atmosphere build. This is not necessarily warm and toasty, but on a sad beautiful manner eerily intense. The rest of the songs on the CD are the first 3 to in Nothing, songs like "Polly," "Drain You" or "On A Plain" are among the best alternative rock songs of all time. Although Cobain so could not imagine the extreme success of this CD (and probably did not really want), it is by no means inconsequential. The lyrics are simple words, but meaningful. The accusation that "Nevermind" is much more pop than the other CDs of Nirvana is, of course, so absolutely right, because (Was that like even better to me, but not so influential and is) compared to "In Utero" is " Nevermind "downright radio friendly. This CD is of course (like all Nirvana CDs) obligation, but not their best, but their most versatile, since both her calm side as well as her grunge-rock side offer. But if you just want their quiet side to know, should the grandiose "Unplugged in New York" buy and fans of grunge are "In Utero", which, with the best advice for me perhaps the best alternative rock CD ever. But Nirvana newbies I recommend the "Best Of" ... So, fans of first-class alternative rock, Nirvana CDs you buy!
