The S4 mini is a very good choice ...

I recently the Samsung Galaxy S3 mini mini exchanged against the Galaxy S4 and would like to submit a preliminary report. While there are already many very good reviews it, but I've found that it has each its own preferences with regard to the selection criteria and requirements of a smartphone. Also interesting are the differences between the two models for one or the other viellecicht.

Before purchasing I have dealt myself with the smart phones from different manufacturers and their models and asked me what is important to me. I was on the very positive experience with the S3 mini honestly from the outset mainly focused on the models of Samsung. I have this as compared with the other producers, convincing I did not found the competition. An iPhone I have never considered.

Very useful is the way, just once to look at before deciding which models in the store and to take into their own hands. What is the weight, the feel, the design?

Why I decided to mini for the S4?

1. What'll it be?

for this decision I have not used for a long time. Although the models S3 and S4 have a nice big display, but therein lies the problem for me. These models are just too large, you can not just so stuck in your pocket. For me it was clear that a display at the 4 inch is the right size for me. After the positive experience with the 4-inch display at S3 mini I am using the 4.27 inches with slightly larger display when S4 mini really happy.

2. Do I need the newest model?

I do not need, because after a short time and the latest model is already "old". In addition, always having to have the latest mania makes my opinion, at inflated prices, I'm not willing to pay. To me a smartphone is not a status symbol. The S4 mini has appeared about a year ago and really attractive pricewise at the moment.

3. What should a smartphone offer in principle?

For me, these were the most important criteria for the purchase:
- The processing of S4 is perfectly mini.
- The weight is low.
- The internal memory can be expanded with an SD card.
- The battery can be changed.
- In contrast to the S3 mini I need here a Micro SIM card, but not too disruptive.
- The display has convinced me in terms of colors, sharpness and clarity. I find it just a tad bit better than the S3 mini
- The touch screen works smoothly and without delays.
- The S4 mini has 2 cameras.
- The internal memory is sized perfectly adequate with 8 GB. As a complement, I use a 32 GB SD card.
- The call quality is impeccable.
- The battery life was not a determining factor for me as me this is actually too low in all smartphones. Ultimately, you have to charge every day after all. However, it helps if you turn off one or the other preinstalled app if they are never actually used.

4. Other Features?

I think it's great that the S4 is charged via a mini mini USB port, which is the way pretty quickly. I am a great friend of uniform connections and have at the moment fortunate that both my Kindle, and my phone and my BlackBerry all can be loaded with the same charging cable, a dream!

The S4 mini offers even NFC, what I have already tried the mini S3. I can befriend me so really is not. The integrated voice control is a blast, which I use as often as possible. About things like Bluetooth you have to actually lose no word that has now really each model.

The camera offers clearly better quality than that of S3 Mini. This applies to photos as well as videos.

5. What's to criticize?

Not much, just a few little things. The maximum volume the phone could be a bit louder when typing on the keyboard, I would like to see the umlaut (I guess it's probably is a solution) and when I remove the back cover I'm always afraid that he breaks. But these little things do not justify any depreciation. Just as the relatively low battery life, since that seems to be a disease of all smartphones.

6. How do I protect my S4 mini?

But I have now bought several alternatives. Right now I use a flip cover of mumbi. I love to take a silicone cover, also of mumbi. This is not bulky and you can plug the phone so great in your pocket. A protective cover for the display I use also (again mumbi).

7. What's the price to say?

The price is in addition to all the above benefits, a very strong argument to opt for the mini S4. The fact that it is not the latest model, but nevertheless has everything I care about, I have found an unbeatable price-performance ratio. That was when the acquisition of S3 mini even that.

8. What can I draw a conclusion?

The S4 mini is the perfect smartphone for me at the moment. It has everything I need, is lightweight and also looks outrageously good ;-) The same way, I have said at the time mini also about my S3, but the technology is evolving so. Still, I was very pleased with my "old" phone, but the change to the S4 mini was then the logical step for me.

The S4 mini is a very high-quality processed and sophisticated middle class smartphone at a very attractive price. It is so compelling that I can recommend it with a clear conscience.
