This is dart oratory. Not so much of classical art, inherited from the ancient (Cicero, to mention only him). This is a more modern presentation, which is based primarily on the physical body. This is where the book main Lapport: open your eyes to what founds, DAfter author, léloquence.
The idea is to "de-cérébraliser" léloquence, the French being considered by the author as a great intellectual, but a poor speakers at The reverse Americans. To achieve léloquence three pillars are presented:
- The verticality: stand straight, without stiffness but consistently.
- The look: look at his "public", that is to say, those to whom it caters. This allows to have a return on our discourse, and adapt to the reactions of our listeners, thus both a real author rewriting the speech.
- The Voice: author use pretty words "want voice." It comes to use voice to voluntarily wear the speech.
The general tone of the book somewhat destabilizing: rather acidic, very critical of most politicians BE accused of bad speakers. The television reporters also take for their degree. Another negative point: there is finally little dexplications on the implementation of the three pillars mentioned above. A lot of stories but little background: the boundaries of storytelling is key. Without doubt this is voluntary on the part of the author: the book arouses the interest of lapprenti speaker but does not teach him much; sil real progress, it will use the (paid) services of consulting firm of S. Andrew.
