Regularly, new monoliths appear colossal statues to the glory of this Kuin still unknown, the future conqueror. Their geographical distribution to track in advance the theoretical progression of his conquests from the Southeast Asia. Soon, the devastation caused by these statues that sometimes materialize in the middle of a city, marked by these countries monoliths sink into chaos, split between numerous factions claiming to Kuin, still unknown, but whose inevitable victories are continually proclaimed worldwide. How to fight against such an enemy? How does he do to influence the past, if these monoliths really from the future?
Built on a simple but well done idea, this is an excellent thriller (even if the end is slightly disappointing - temporal paradoxes are always difficult to set up in a completely coherent) accompanying a team of researchers in their race against time (good they still twenty years, leaving few laps to build the personal lives of the main characters) to try to counter the seemingly inevitable advent of a new conqueror.
