Transcend 32GB Class 10 TS32GWSDHC10 WI-FI SDHC Memory Card (Personal Computers)

Customer Review

Yes, quite right. Runs on the map (as opposed to, for example, the Toshiba cards) an ARM processor with Linux, which is installed on a second flash and even has even its own RAM. This card comes with a USB card reader, the card is formatted for delivery, have pre-installed without any programs like other maps partially (and unnecessarily). Just like the other she has a so-called Access Point, that is, they "created" a private wireless network where you can join and then invokes a Web page that comes from an integrated web server. As with all WiFi SDCARDs you also need a little patience because, until the card is booted, it needs a little longer than Toshiba cards. Then you can practically operate with everything a Web browser has (PC, Android, ...). Connection to an AP through a brick wall with 4 ... 5 m distance was not a problem (but is also used in the high-quality AP on the opposite side).

Oh, in a camera, you can insert the card too, but it was also made - that does not interest myself but the bean)
Therefore, this report is also directed at Nerds, who enjoy Linux on the smallest HW!

On the Internet you can read everything on the map and how to do things like telnet server (so you can log in directly to the card) can install or own websites. This makes the device for me the smallest WiFi-based Web server or the smallest NAS (or whatever you can do so thanks to Linux) that I've seen. This is a great "Bot" alternative to a relative "huge" and expensive Raspberry Pi, which not even WLAN "on-board" has (for it then just HDMI-out).

My angedachtes field of application is in the car. I want to insert the card into the car radio, and run a small script. And the car is parked in the garage and is connected to the home Wi-Fi, it will download from my home NAS already prepared in the house itself MP3s from a directory and install it on the map. Will take a little until I have the setup - sign up again if it worked (which is then but not on the map, but on Linux scripting knowledge) ...
