The latter assumes that all rooms and 100% syncron play the music as this will cause unsightly Hall effects and the sound very distorted and annoying. Unless you look now with the active loudspeakers from the Sonos family that is equips no problem, since Sonos ensures Syncronität (Play: Amp 1, Play: 3, PLAY: 5 or Connect).
Anders is unfortunately in the "Sonos Connect". This is the source to an existing amplifier (usually Dolby Digital Receiver of domestic home theater are) connected. Now very often leads to the effect that the amplifier a few milliseconds required to process the signal (possibly also are some sound enhancer and Dynamic Components enabled) and therefore, if the rooms are connected to a room zone, a delay (Delay) between the spaces created.
It sounds very ugly and is not really acceptable. The delay can be reduced somewhat if you are not connecting the Connect to the optical media (Tosk, coax ...), but with analog media (RCA). In addition, the AVR receiver uu may also include a Direct Mode besitzten that plays the sound without sound enhancer. In most cases, so also with me, but always remains a sound delay (Delay). In my case, I use a AVR receivers from Yamaha in the living room and use the dining room and kitchen a Connect: Amp with its own speakers. Now you can blame for this behavior does not assign Sonos alone because the Connect to already running Syncron 100%, the "pot life" of the receiver / amplifier ultimately leads indeed to the delay. What I can not understand, however, is the fact that this problem knows Sonos (the forums are full of complaints of the Sonos community) but the Sonos app offers no way to adjust the delay of all the components again. This Sonos has set up only for their own component Playbar, which can then have a delay to the television picture.
Well ... in my case, leads to the fact that for me is the product "Sonos Connect" unusable. Unfortunately there is no solution to this problem. A work-a-round can only consist in addition to the home theater speakers further Sonos speaker in the home theater area (living room) set up or with a Sonos Connect: Amp and speaker switch (amplifier A / B to LS) to work. Neither is really nice.
If someone here has an idea or can give me a good AVR receiver which does not have the delay, I am very pleased with comments.
The Sonos Connect deserved as "single solution" certainly 4-5 star, as "multi-room solution" that is Sonos now times, I can unfortunately only 2 stars awarded, since it is not to be used. I doubt that Sonos is received here on the customers' wishes.
