the system itself is very good - but has pitfalls

I installed a Paulmann URail 230V system with 5 spots, 2 InRail LED strips, IR Switch recently.
Since I did not get all the parts on Amazon in white, I had bought in another shop - would have liked to know this in advance Tips - therefore a few pointers so not (equal) can be seen here from me in the product:

Rail mounting:
The rails can be mounted easily. On the back are slots and there are screws and anchors it. At 0.5m it is 2 and at 2m is 5 respectively. There would still be good if the drill diameter had been specified for the dowels (there are 6mm). Incidentally, it will only fit a very narrow, at least 2cm long bit for mounting with electric screwdriver in the rail! It also keeps problems to a plasterboard ceiling (if the anchors seem to be not really designed for cavity mounting).
The connection of the rails is easy - Loosen the screw on the end cap, remove and then intervening connector - imemr respecting the fact that the outer Schutzleitersysmbole indicate rail and connector to each other! The connection itself is quite stable - but still you need a second man when mounting a multi-part rail!

Feed:
In order to be more flexible in installation I had chosen the supply cable. Here you should be aware about that the cable is quite long (about 50cm) and either ugly must be shortened (for which then will be used ferrules with pliers) hangs down or. I have avoided it in the I open the strain relief and approx 4 "wrapping" of the cable is pulled back and "pressed" is in the can. Is something complicated but it saves the shortening and it looks still better.
What brought me something on the palm is the clumsy color code in the junction box - black / black / silver - quite illegible inscription in the box translates the L, N, PE - here was the classic black / blue / green-yellow have been better and as well safety Note 1 does not help that you should have the installation carried out by an electrician (according to the motto of which is already hinbekommen).
The feed cable comes with a 10cm bar piece and but can also be solved there and put on a different track.

The Spots:
We have the white 10 W LED spots (951.x) - was ordered by a defective 5. What is less gets in the description with: they are quite large - 5 pieces on a 2,50m rail are really too much! The light is more (cold) white and very bright! What surprises me is that LEDs for the rear of the spots quite warm (on the border with hot) is what appears to be power dissipation and is unusual for LEDs. The transformer is in the base of each lamp and is therefore not involved here. Incidentally, this also ensures that the foot is quite wide and the width goes far beyond the rail out. These spots have a beam angle of 31 ° and we wanted to use them to even from a distance light accents on images etc. to set but unfortunately not working. From a distance of 2 m of the cone is indistinguishable already 1,5m in diameter and by the close of the mounting spots. That is why we wanted this dim (see below)
Installation is simple - footscrew solve then the cover of the foot lift and twisted slightly and align the rail - screws.

InRail LED line:
This is quick to assemble - has only two springs with which the contacts are drawn, then place and then release springs and there should be contact (when it remains dark wiggle something - quite accurately, it is not and "like" remains on the flat head screws with (and must be raised slightly) where the hanging rail is attached. Unfortunately, the light color of the spots not fit all, and is a bit warmer (yellowish)

IR switch with remote control:
After this IR switch was on display as a combinable product so I wanted to dim and turn this rail.
For this purpose it is placed as the first item after the injection and before all dimmable / switchable spots. There are no to be observed "protective conductor marking" but a clear in and out for direction.
The result - the setting of the DIP switches for the mode is easy (the description could be better still example to what is meant by "load".). The LED spots and were all off (on / off), but not dim. A demand for Paulmann revealed that none of the LED spots can be dimmed and only the halogen spots are suitable here! So I have to either replace all LED spots with halo or without dimming.

There are still plastic rails that can be easily cut with scissors or a stable pair of wire cutters and "clipped" into the rail to close it. But that goes away unfortunately neither the connectors nor the InRail LED lines and requires a lot of force to push in by hand (the hook on the back are the way different - use only in Langen and then snap the Short)

So - I hope the tips will help a little further.

Note for Paulmann: I understand that there has to be at any part Safety Instructions but maybe you can change that to any Paulmann-order 1 set is sent along to documents. Buying one - as usual - the parts individually has one end about 30 sheets with more or less the same content.
