The worst album of Lenny Kravitz

It'S Time For A Love Revolution (CD)

Customer Review

All commentators talk about "return to source". In fact back to the source, it seems to be simply a total lack of inspiration that drove the poor Lenny, surely sucks by her record label (it had been four years since he had released anything since album "Baptism") draw a few scraps in his drawer bottoms or exploit stale recipes. This album feels warmed the most indigestible. Even the few securities with a melody ("I love the rain" or "A Long And Sad Goodbye") seem blades copies of the best songs of the album "Let Love Rule".
Well, we can be satisfied with some good music passages: the song "Dancin 'Till Dawn" is a nice tribute to Bowie of the period "Young Americans," which was itself heavily inspired by the sound of Motown; "Love, love, love" is a nervous and removed song, you can listen Good Morning ... I think I quoted what was good about this disc. This still leaves 8 pieces of 14 without any interest: poor melody ultra-binary rhythm, unimaginative, repetitive chorus ...
The previous album was already not great, but next to this artistic failure, he now appears masterpiece. Even the concerts of the tour 2008-2009 (I own a dozen) are of a poorer level than what Kravitz had accustomed us on stage.
Ok, Lenny, I do not blame you. I'm sure the next album will be up and I'll buy it anyway.
