Scott Hutchison brings us with "Winter of Mixed Drinks" an ode to the sea, or more precisely, the North Sea, and its powerful infinity, faced one has to wonder with, you're a man or a bag of sand? This chorus of "Swim Until You Can not See Land" is even a separate track dedicated (Man / Bag of sand), but he is more than just a stopgap. Frightened Rabbit talk about their ultimately unsuccessful fight with the creatures of the sea (The Wrestle), a song about the desperate attempts, yet fail. Perhaps too obvious metaphor about the drowning could be probably perfect in lower reaches beyond British Poetry einbauen. In "Not miserable" Hutchison thinks back to the night when he drowned almost, but does not specify whether. In the lake or in the bare life The album will be but certainly not only sailors and metaphor like maniacs, but probably all friends kept Alternative Musik.Persönlich I find the idea of a "maritime concept album" very appealing solved because I red threads that run through albums -As eg Pink Floyd or Marillion- like aufgreife to grope my way through musical labyrinths. And if at the end instead of a Minotaur wait a few scary hares, the CD can still enjoy much more.
