Was very delighted when announcing it. I am not a professional runner, but just stand on the technical bells and whistles. I would have liked the apple Watch, but without built-in GPS transmitter for sport rather pointlessly. But now to the Garmin: The functions are certainly great, everything in it that you need. But why I wanted to upgrade from my Nike + Watch, is the supposedly everyday suitability and use as a clock for every day. And this is where it falls short. It is the art of the display due to that this is great to read in daylight, was prima's for outdoor use. In low light, but you can see nothing, the display looks like this does not look as advertised, it's just too dark. Furthermore, the lens is simply cheap. Plastic, small LCD with respect to the "size" of the clock. And touchscreen While reading scary practical, but it's just not playing sports. You sweat, your hands are wet, and then maybe you can the screen simply not reasonable use. Do not misunderstand: Who the clock "only" for sports uses, could thus perhaps be happy, but why one wants to buy exactly this model, because there are better alternatives. I personally would have liked a model like the VivoActive with a stainless steel case, with a screen like on a smartphone, even if this means of course not as to achieve a battery life by far would have been clear. But something definitely come. Until then, I'll send the Garmin first time back and now I have the Fenix 3. Also far from perfect and much more expensive, but you can get it, "show" ...
