Look and feel:
This camera is very comfortable to hold and makes a high quality impression. A plastic Feeling came with me to never.
Somehow I always had to have in hand the feeling a large DSLR (only it is much lighter and smaller than selbige;))
Operation and settings:
Due to the many buttons and dials can most simply be done without going through the menu.
And for fetishists setting the camera is simply a Mecca: It is easy to set everything imaginable!
BUT: Why can not I put on the Fn key, the control of the image stabilizer? Clearly, from the Quick Menu that goes well. But also takes a little longer ...
And why I can not make bracketing in combination with the self timer? Why is 'assembly' of panoramic images in the camera is not possible (P300 can).
A clear case for a software update.
Image Quality:
I like the pictures (OOC, JPEG), purely subjective, very good! Incidentally, also significantly better than for the P300.
However, a general statement is difficult to meet.
Due to the very precisely adjustable quality (see Picture Control) are in theory for every taste suitable results achieved!
And for purists and post-processor is there also still the RAW mode ...
Aperture:
Since I was able to test a P300 extensively before I was very spoiled by the high light intensity. Fortunately, can keep up with the P7000 here.
Thanks still good and low-noise pictures to ISO 800 is the 'faintness' very well compensated.
Technology and processing speed:
Here the reason is why I forgive only 4 stars.
Saving individual images or even by bracketing (JPEG Fine, Class 10) takes as compared to a P300 noticeably longer.
(Combined RAW mode is then added some more time).
Actually strange because in the P7000 the same image processor as in the P300's built. And here indeed have even 12 megapixels instead of 'only' 10 Megapixels are processed.
Thanks EXPEED 2 would then even a full HD recording possible. (Although I do not really need now!)
There may be charges can be consulted with a software update (> 1.1) nor the but.
Conclusion:
Completely successful camera with small technical weaknesses are observable on the main point, namely the very good image quality (!), No effect.
Update, 19/05/2011
Am now switched to a SanDisk ExtremePro SDHC card (45MB / s).
After pressing the shutter button in quality NRW + FINE pass at a shutter speed of 1/200, only about 2 seconds (with an Extreme Memory Card Class 6 there were about 3 seconds).
Only NRW about 1 second ...
A Tv bracketing, in quality NRW + FINE in z.Bsp. 1 / 200s with 5 images required about 15 seconds (with an Extreme Memory Card Class 6 there were 18 seconds).
Only NRW about 5 seconds.
Overall, I find the NRW-performance fine now. The JPEG export is still noticeably slower ....
