This is our first camera of its kind ...

Comfortable would be a little program, so that you could pre-program at home comfortably on the PC.

Is somewhat smaller / more compact than feared / expected - is about the size of a pack of flour. Very easy. But what constitutes murder of weight then the batteries that you need in: 4 very large thick round (D mono R20 P) and 3 medium-thick round (C LR14).

It is recommended that the manual first full study, since there are so many settings that are not selbstersichtlich by the operating element. Even with the quick start, please refer to many other chapters. The instructions are in English and German (well translated).

The default is single-frame shooting.

Obtain also an SD card (FAT32 format) the images / movies to save. Especially if you want to work with high resolutions, here is a quick good SD = faster processing / storage. The internal memory is not very large 16MB for today's times.

The "outer skin" feels good / wertig on.

The operation is inside the cover (the one pops up).

There are still images (goes in motion) (JPG), by motion detectors are triggered. The distance is adjustable up to 13 meters (to be recorded something from what distance) and the size of the images. The sensitivity is not precisely defined, but seemed not automatically go off in little things (jiggling leaves in the wind).

No color reproduction (since at night designed). Rather all in color negative (gray black) with a tinge towards Magenta (Pink). Night shots are always in black. You should always shoot a series, as not all motion pictures are sharp.

Movies (AVI) can also be started by motion detectors. Here are different resolutions and frame rates (frames per second, the more the liquid) possible. HD is only possible with 15 frames / second thus has little jerky movements (is liquid for our eye from about 20 frames). Up to 90 seconds in length can be adjusted.

The frequency of recording depends on how long the pause of the motion sensor is set (interval between 2 recordings).

There is a small camera display in the control element about 4x3 cm, so you can still control the same recordings locally.

Cable via USB (or just the SD card), the data is then downloaded to the PC (just upload to a directory). For this no special program is needed. Each image processing program can be taken.

TV-OUT is not explained in the manual (displayed only on a detail screen). Serves as screen output (eg on the television) with jack plugs.

Shooting from the inside out (ie through a window) did not work with us. The motion is simply not start.
